Privacy Policy

Fitoa ("Fitoa", "we", "us") is studio-management software owned and operated by MakeAndUpdate. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use Fitoa, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Fitoa web application and related services.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and (optionally) phone number when you create an account or a studio adds you as a member.
• Google sign-in — if you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, email address, and the fact that your email is verified. We use this only to create or sign you into your account. We do not receive your Google password.
• Studio & activity data — the studios you belong to, your class bookings, check-ins, waitlist entries, credits, and preferences.
• Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store full card numbers; we retain only a record of the transaction (amount, date, status) and Stripe identifiers.
• Communications — messages you send us and email/SMS notification preferences.
• Technical data — basic log data (such as IP address and request information) used to keep the service secure and running.

How we use your information

• To provide the service: authenticate you, show your schedule, process bookings and payments, and let your studio manage its members.
• To send transactional and (where enabled) reminder messages such as booking confirmations, class reminders, and password resets.
• To secure the service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers we share data with

We share limited information with providers that help us operate Fitoa, only as needed to deliver the service:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Google — optional sign-in.
• Email and SMS providers — to deliver notifications you or your studio have enabled.

Studios you join can see the account and activity data associated with your membership at that studio.

Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect the service. We do not use advertising cookies.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Operational logs are pruned on a rolling basis.

Your choices & rights

You can update your profile and notification preferences in your account settings, and you may request access to or deletion of your personal information. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law. To make a request, please contact us.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Fitoa is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. A studio that enrolls minors is responsible for obtaining any required parental consent.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
